Welcome to our story.. We decided to sell our home and sail around the world!
Why we did it?
How did we come to make such a life changing decision? Were we not happy with our current life? Absolutely! But we just could not help to dream of this amazing adventure to sell everything and go exploring. Together. As a family. What could be better?
What we expect..
Of course we realize there is going to be challenges. For sure we see everything now through pink glasses. Much rosier than it probably will be. But just going for it and starting such a huge new adventure gives us such a huge amount of energy! It really is the best thing to do. We could just go on dreaming forever.. wait till the time is right, save up more money so we can afford a different kind of boat… No! The time is now, we see an opportunity and we’re going for it!
Why we love sharing on Youtube?
We’ve been Youtubing for quite a few years now, and enjoyed making videos about many different subjects. We lived in Qatar for 12 years, so many videos were recorded there. We’re always happy and excited to talk about our life there, so we felt creating videos will help people to get an impression of the country and the lifestyle that goes with it.
During Covid we even created some videos around our pool setup at home. That video series attracted lots and lots of viewers. So much so, that we had to separate our sailing channel and start that up again from the beginning. But we won’t give up easily, the adventure is too exciting not to share. And that’s probably why you are here?
We embarked on the sailing adventure for an unknown amount of time. As long as we all enjoy it, we will continue. We found our sailboat in Cyprus, and that was quite a story in itself. The videos show part of that, but there is much more to the story of course. To connect with us directly, we’ve set up a Patreon page. Not like Youtube where they are interrupted so many times with commercial breaks. We think the small fee there is completely worth it!
